We are looking for a natural leader as our Director of Engineering – someone who is yearning for an opportunity to take a company at a strategic juncture to the next level. You will shape and grow a nascent start-up culture to deliver great consumer-facing, mission-critical technology products to market. You are the kind of person who would challenge conventional wisdom in order to shape the technology product and help realize the company’s vision. Responsibilities
- Serve as the liaison between the business/product management and engineering teams and influence the product plan from an engineering perspective
- Help determine and communicate the long term product plan and how it fits in to the company vision and strategy, to the engineering team
- Ensure proper coverage of the product plan through effort estimation and allocation and management of engineering resources (software engineers, QA and Sys Admin)
- Ensure that we remain nimble as we grow
- Serve as the go-to person for the engineering team – inspiring and motivating team members and helping solve problems through critical thinking
- Get intimate with our code-base, and periodically jump in and work together with engineers to solve problems
- Manage bugs, features and projects using the issue tracking system and ensure the timely delivery of features, releases and projects
- Ensure high quality code is deployed in production through continuous improvement and refinement of the QA process.
- Leverage a discretionary training budget to identify workshops and conferences for the continued development of our engineers and the fortification/growth of our team’s institutional knowledge
- Represent Travel Tripper to customers and partners as required
Requirements
- BS/MS or equivalent experience
- Software architect with a strong web application product development background
- 5+ years with product companies in a various stages of growth and success
- 4+ years programming highly scalable software as a service products
- 2+ years management of a complete engineering team (software engineers, QA, Sys Admin)
- Experience with (geographically and culturally) distributed engineering teams
- Strong organizational, prioritization and communication skills

We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst to participate in the build-out of a state of the art hotel reservations platform. You will work with creative minds in a start-up environment to evolve great business- and consumer-facing, mission-critical technology products for the hospitality industry. In your role you will have the opportunity to harness the best ideas within the product set and turn them into deliverable features.
Responsibilities
- Assist in mapping out and maintaining the product plan in consultation with Product Management, Sales, Engineering and other stake holders
- Analyze product evolution needs in terms of revenue generating capability
- Lead the effort to integrate our applications with other leading industry systems
- Gather requirements from internal and external customers and compile requirements consisting of use cases, process flows and data flows
- Facilitate the QA process as needed
- Participate in the delivery and implementation of product solutions, in coordination with customers, partners and internal team members
- Serve as an in-house expert for our products and become the go-to person for all functional issues
- Participate to industry standards workgroups to ensure strong representation of our interests and to stay abreast of the goings-on in the industry
Requirements
- BS/BA or equivalent experience

- 2+ years in the role of a business analyst, participating in the entire lifecycle of a technology product: analyze, design, build, test, implement, support
- Highly analytical with strong organizational and prioritization skills
- Strong communication (written and oral) and presentation skills
- Deeply interested in online consumer habits, trends, social media platforms and buying behaviour
- Knowledge of hotel industry central reservation systems and distribution landscape is highly desired.
